Czech Republic is becoming the electro-technical superpower of EU.
About 40% EU made computers are assembled here. Now
Czech Republic
expect additional huge investment of the major
Taiwan
computer company
Foxconn.
This company
intends to raise a new EU based factory, which could employ up to 5 thousand people and is seriously considering for its project the Czech
Republic.
At present
Foxconn
already produces computers in the Czech town
Pardubice. In the new factory it plans to make mainly flat LCD monitors.
In 2006 new factories for screens were build in the industrial zone Triangl near the Czech north-west town Zatec by Hitachi
and IPS Alpha. Both companies are planning to employ about two thousand people.
Other factory for manufacturing of screens and assembly of TV´s raised at a lightening speed in less than a year time in
2006 in
the Nymburg town the Chinese company
Changhong Europe.
The Chinese company plans to produce here about one million TV´s annually
Main reasons for choosing Czech Republic as the best place in EU to move production to, are highly skilled employees, low wages and last, but not least is the very good geographical location within the EU
